Friday December 10, 2021 in Bourdon, Jean Tholbert Alexis, Chief of Staff of the Minister of Youth (MJSAC) and Sports Raymonde Rival, attended the official inauguration of the brand new premises of the Haitian Olympic Committee (COH) in Bourdon in presence of Prime Minister ai Ariel Henry, Ku Wen-Jiann Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China), the Spanish Consul Ibán Prieto and the former Haitian football ambassador Philippe Vorbe.

Almost 107 years after its creation in 1914, the COH was able to build its new premises in order to pursue its vision and work with the young people of the country.

On behalf of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Jean Tholbert Alexis congratulated the Haitian Olympic Committee for the multiple efforts it is making in sports and pleaded in favor of a frank collaboration between the COH and the MJSAC in order to continue to support national sports federations and associations in their respective missions.

Alexis took advantage of Human Rights Day to remind people that access to sport is a right and remains convinced that sport is a very powerful tool for inclusion. He launched a call for the mobilization of all actors in the sector "for a rational practice of sport across the country according to the general philosophy of Olympism based on the principles of tolerance, solidarity, Peace, fair-play and the mutual understanding necessary for Haiti today and tomorrow".
