iciHaiti - Taiwan : Relations with Haiti require special attention
Speaking in an online debate, Lin Chia-lung, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan (Republic of China) explained that Haiti has been rocked by gang violence and social unrest since the assassination of former Haitian President Jovenel Moïse in July 2021 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-34162-haiti-flash-president-jovenel-moise-assassinated-by-mercenaries-official-updated-7am-+-video.html

Lin said Taiwan continued to support Haiti and was one of the last nations whose diplomatic mission remained open during the unrest. "Although Taiwan's diplomatic relations with its 12 official allies are relatively stable, special attention should be paid to Haiti," Lin said.

Lin added that the new US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has attached great importance to Latin America and the Caribbean since his inauguration "So I think Taiwan and the United States can work together in this regard."
