iciHaiti - DR : The resistance of governments to erect a wall at the border is political

The engineer Federico Antún Batlle aka "Quique" President of the Reform Christian Social Party (PRSC, founded by Balaguer) said this week in Santiago, that building a wall all along the border with Haiti was the best solution to end illegal immigration, drug trafficking and smuggling of all kinds, stating that the cost of building such a wall would not exceed $1 billion.
In a note, he explained that the resistance of the last governments to the construction of a wall is strictly political and had nothing to do with the cost, which can easily be included in the budget.
Recall that the PRSC party center right but right-wing politics also largely inherited the rhetoric nationalist, anti-communist and anti-Haitian of Balaguer...
