iciHaiti - Sport : FIFA Goal Center under the control of armed individuals
On Sunday, armed individuals from the 400 Mawozo gang broke into and took control of the FIFA Goal Center, located in Croix-des-Bouquets. Faced with this event, the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) expresses its deep concern and consternation, this alarming situation was confirmed by a video that went viral on social networks.

After the loss of the Stade Sylvio-Cator, this new assault on the country's sports infrastructure once again deprives Haitian football of a space that is essential to its development. This center, a pillar of national football, is a strategic place for the training of young talents, men and women, and plays a crucial role in:

- Reducing juvenile delinquency through supervised sports activities;

- Training athletes for national teams and local clubs.

The FHF condemns in the strongest terms these acts that compromise efforts to promote sport, peace and social stability in Haiti, and calls on the competent authorities as well as national and international partners to take the necessary measures to guarantee the security and restitution of the FIFA Goal Center. This space does not belong to an institution or an administration, but to Haitian youth. It represents a symbol of hope, education and development.

"We cannot allow this center to disappear. We urge the actors involved to respect its mission and allow its restitution, so that it can continue to serve current and future generations," the note concludes.
