Friday, April 29, 2022, Divisional Commissioner Jean Maurest Étienne, Director of Personnel of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) and Municipal Commissioner Ulcénaire Bujou, head of the Medico-Social Service, visited police officer Réginald Vieux, injured by bullet as part of the PNH operation against armed gangs who have been fighting in the Plaine du Cul-de-Sac since April 24 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-36545-icihaiti-anti-gang-operations3-police-officers-injured-in-the-combats.html
Agent I Réginald Vieux, from the 27th promotion, is receiving treatment in a hospital center in Port-au-Prince after receiving a projectile in the right leg, in exchanges of fire with armed gangs, in the "Nan Mapou” (municipality of Croix-des-Bouquets).
Jean Maurest Étienne hailed the bravery of the victim police officer in the performance of his duties during this operation aimed at restoring public order and social peace. He promised that the police institution through its services concerned, will assist this agent throughout his convalescence.
