A week after the earthquake, ICDH protection officers were on the ground. The issue of loss of identity documents, psychosocial and educational support for children affected by this earthquake and economic support for vulnerable families were clearly identified as priority and fundamental needs to which answers must be provided. The protection agents had gone to meet these displaced people to obtain information to help them obtain their lost identity documents.
