In the exchange of fire with the police, one of the individuals later identified as "Junot" was injured while his 3 accomplices managed to flee by abandoning their vehicle. The so-called "Junot" has been arrested. In the vehicle the police found and seized among other things : 1 Taurus 9mm pistol; 1 12 gauge shotgun; 25 12-gauge cartridges, multiple magazines; 1 axe, 5 machetes a sword; 4 cell phones, 4 bank books and a bag of marijuana-like substances. In addition, a second suspect Mazda Tribute vehicle, registered DD03434, found at the scene of the operation was also seized. According to initial information, these individuals are suspected of being members of a network of robbers operating at the entrance to the city of Cap Haitien, who ransomed truck drivers.
