iciHaiti - Bahamas : 2nd interception of Haitian boat-people in less than a week

Friday, March 4, 2022 around 6:45 a.m., for the second time in less than a week, the United States Coast Guard stopped a sailboat overloaded with illegal immigrants from Haiti.
The ship was intercepted about 10 miles off Anguilla Cay, an island in the Bahamas just north of Cuba. The Coast Guard said 123 people were aboard the sailboat, far exceeding the craft's capacity.
This interception comes 6 days after the Coast Guard intercepted another sailboat with 179 Haitians on board https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-36082-haiti-bahamas-179-haitian-boat-people-intercepted-off-the-archipelago-of-andros.html 30 km off the archipelago of Andros (Bahamas).
