iciHaiti - Diaspora : 218th anniversary of Haiti’s independence in Canada (program)
The Embassy of Haiti in Canada is informing the Haitian community in Canada of the activities it is organizing on January 1st, 2022 in Ottawa on the occasion of the 218th anniversary of Haiti's independence.

10:30 am - 10:45 am : Raising of the Haitian flag at Ottawa City Hall

6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. : Independence show

From 6 p.m. : illumination of the OTTAWA sign in the colors of Haiti (blue and red)

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, access to the City Hall and show sites will be limited. However, at any time of the evening, the community of Ottawa-Gatineau and surrounding areas can come to ByWard Market, (Ottawa), to take individual or family photos of the Ottawa sign, illuminated in blue and red, in strict compliance with the sanitary measures in force.

The Embassy of Haiti in Canada renews its end-of-year wishes and recommends the utmost caution face of the rise in Covid-19 cases.
