On Saturday armed men from the "400 Mawozo" gang shot at an American family in the commune of Croix-des-Bouquets. Resulting, a 7-year-old American child was killed instantly, his 9-year-old brother and his father were injured.

They were transported urgently to a hospital in the Municipality where they receive the care that their condition requires.

Also on the same day, a 61-year-old woman, Sr Marie Sonia Osias Brisseault, who was returning from the Adventist Church from the Auditorium of the Bible on street Capois where she was serving as a deaconess was hit by a fatal bullet in the chest by armed individuals operating in the area.
