iciHaiti - Insecurity : The Minister of Culture condemns acts of terror in the Village of Noailles
Jean Emmanuel Jacquet, the Minister of Culture, says he is scandalized by the numerous acts of banditry perpetrated in particular in the Village of Noailles, an artistic sanctuary of cut metal, one of the priceless treasures of our cultural heritage.

Minister Jacquet learned that "one of his talented sculptors, the brilliant Anderson Belony, was cowardly assassinated during a savage attack on the village of Noailles on the evening of October 12 by armed individuals" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-34989-haiti-flash-the-renowned-sculptor-anderson-belony-assassinated-in-the-village-of-noailles.html

While vigorously condemning these villainous acts of terror, the Minister asks the judicial and police authorities to react quickly, stressing "This indiscriminate violence which destroys the Haitian self in its essence must stop. Bearer of the torch of united humanism and civilizing freedom, the Haitian people have never been characterized by such barbarities, nor should they allow themselves to be led by such an outburst of savagery !"

"To this Haitian youth who carry our hopes and dreams in pain, to this battered nation which awaits a better tomorrow, to our artists, creators of our beatitudes, to the parents, friends and relatives of the victims of this alarming tragedy, the Ministry of Culture and Communication humbly presents its sincere sympathies."
