iciHaiti - Weekly road report : 34 accidents at least 170 victims
The Haitian organization Technical and Operational Services for Accidents (STOP-Accidents), informs us that for the week of September 13 to 19, 2021, 34 accidents on the national territory (-8% compared to the previous week) https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-34740-icihaiti-weekly-road-report-28-victims-on-average-every-day.html made at least 170 victims + 1.1%): 19 dead (-17% ) and 151 injured (+ 4%) including several seriously ...

Kenscoff, Cayes, Torbeck, on the Airport Road, Delmas 33, Quartier Morin, Montagne Noire, Petit-Goâve, Bourdon, Mariani, Bassin Bleu, Grand-Goâve, La Source (Fort-Liberté), Morne GOC (Nazon ), Savane Carrée (RN7), Route 9 and Malpasse are the main communitie's and areas where these accidents have been recorded.

Remember that this weekly report was carried out in partnership with the National Ambulance Center (CAN) and the Haitian Red Cross (CRH).

However, due to lack of sufficient financial resources STOP-Accident is unable to monitor the state of health of the injured, some of whom die as a result of their injuries and are not counted.

STOP-Accidents, reiterates its call for caution on our roads and urges the Government to strengthen prevention measures and to set up a systematic vehicle inspection service. In addition, the Organization invites road users to maintain responsible behavior to reduce the risk of accidents.
