iciHaiti - FATF : Haiti on the gray list, under increased surveillance 26/06/2021 09:46:25
Friday June 25, 2021 at the end of its Plenary Assembly, the Financial Action Group (FATF), an intergovernmental body that brings together 37 States, the European Commission and the Gulf Cooperation Council, announced that Haiti, Malta, the Philippines and South Sudan had been placed on the gray list of countries under increased surveillance.
"When the FATF places a jurisdiction under heightened surveillance, it means that the country is committed to quickly resolving the strategic shortcomings identified within the time limits and may be subject to additional controls," said a statement from the FATF.
22 countries are now on this gray list (compared to 19 last February), these countries which do not do enough, particularly against money laundering and the financing of terrorism...
