The Ambassador of Haiti in the Dominican Republic Smith Augustin asks his compatriots residing in the Dominican territory, to come to the Haitian Embassy or to the Haitian consulates to obtain their new National Identification card.
"I urge my Haitian compatriots residing in the Dominican Republic to present themselves without delay, in a disciplined manner to the Embassy and consulates to register and especially to withdraw their card when it is ready.

He recalled that the work of identifying Haitians residing in Dominican territory is permanent. "Every day, from Monday to Friday, between 400 and 500 people go to the offices of the missions of Haiti to request this service which is offered FREE OF CHARGE.
