iciHaiti - Jacmel : A colorful carnival and music
On Sunday February 7, 2021, the 29th Edition of the Carnival of Jacmel was launched by the local authorities, in the presence of President Jovenel Moïse and several government officials.

Ms. Myriam Jean, the Minister of Tourism who participates in this activity did not hide her satisfaction with the organization of this popular festival. She expressed her wonder at the sustainability of this cultural and tourist phenomenon, which brings many local and international tourists to this historic and cultural city with each edition. Jean also took the opportunity to encourage the wearing of masks and the practice of barrier gestures in these times of Covid-19, while distributing sanitary kits to various carnival riders.

This 2021 edition of the Canarnaval de Jacmel has kept all its popularity and creativity, and once again offered a colorful spectacle punctuated by its notorious characteristic elements, such as masks, parades of all kinds, music and dance. The parade of walking bands, which keeps the crowd moving to the rhythm of traditional and modern instruments such as vaksin, brass, cymbals, tcha-tcha and percussion, has not lost its freshness and delighted the many festival-goers
