iciHaiti - Security : Towards the establishment of 4 Civil Protection Committees in rural areas

The Departmental Directorate of Civil Protection of the South, in partnership with the Institute of Technology and Animation (ITECA), the French Embassy and the French Development Agency (AFD), launched a project aiming to set up 4 Local Civil Protection Committees (CLPC) in the communal sections of Fonfrède (2nd) and Laurent (4th) of the commune of Les Cayes, of the 2nd Dory section of the commune of Maniche and of the 4th Section Mare Henry of the commune of Cavaillon.

The objective of this project is to reduce the vulnerability of rural communities to natural hazards through the establishment and support of CLPCs and improving knowledge of risks.

This project is part of ITECA's cross-cutting theme on Risk and disaster management and adaptation to climate change, integrated into its 2019-2023 Strategic Plan.
