This week, during a lunch at the Embassy of Chile in Haiti, with distinguished personalities, the Haitian professor and filmmaker Arnold Antonin, received, from the hands of the Ambassador of Chile, Rodrigo Donoso, the "Prix Détroit de Magellan" awarded by the Government of Chile.

500 years after crossing the Strait of Magellan, this Prize was created especially to commemorate the spirit of this exploration, associating it with innovation of global reach. She seeks to distinguish between "the new Magellans" and "the straits" that they are able to discover and pass through in the spirit that characterizes Dr. Arnold Antonin, a great friend of Chile.

This recognition, awarded to a group of 54 exceptional intellectuals, artists and scientists from around the world, allows : to project into the future a historic feat as a symbol of exploration, innovation and entrepreneurship aimed at building together a a better world and to bring Chile closer to a dimension of international interest touching imaginative men and women, creators from all over the world.
