iciHaiti - Spain : The new Ambassador of Haiti presented his Letters of Credence to King Felipe VI
This week in Madrid (Spain), Dr. Louis Marie Montfort Saintil presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Felipe VI. accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Haiti to the Kingdom of Spain.

During this ceremony, Ambassador Saintil highlighted the scope of Spanish cooperation in Haiti in the sectors of water and sanitation, education and food security, at the level of the Departments of the West, of Artibonite, from the South and the South-East, with an envelope of 103 million euros in the form of 60 projects.

He also requested the support of King Felipe VI, in order to encourage Spanish companies to come and settle in Haiti with the aim of consolidating trade relations between the two countries.

The new Ambassador pledged to work, not only to strengthen cooperation in areas of common interest, with particular emphasis on academic and scientific cooperation, but also to relaunch the work of the Haitian-Spanish Joint Commission.

For his part, His Majesty King Felipe VI reiterated the will of his government to continue to support Haiti in its development process.
