iciHaiti - Choléra : Workshop on the prospects for compensation for victims 10 years later...
Wednesday, October 21, Ms. Colombe Emilie Jessy Menos, the Minister, Delegate to the Prime Minister, in charge of Human Rights and the Fight against Extreme Poverty, participated in a workshop on the prospects for compensation for victims 10 years later the first case. An initiative of Avocats Sans Frontières Canada https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-32101-haiti-justice-the-opc-demands-compensation-for-the-victims-of-cholera-the-un-regrets.html and in collaboration with several Haitian organizations for the protection and defense of human rights.

This workshop enabled Minister Menos to reaffirm the commitment of the Haitian authorities to support the victims and to discuss the lines of action in perspective to get there.

Minister Menos, believes it necessary to find concerted solutions, and respectful of human dignity, convinced that "it is in and through dialogue that the parties concerned, the Haitian State included, will arrive at a solution to meet the demands and claims of victims."

This workshop workshop on the ten years of the introduction of cholera in Haiti is an initiative of the Non-Governmental Organization, "Avocats Sans Frontières Canada" in collaboration with several Haitian organizations for the protection and defense of human rights.
