iciHaiti - Politic : Creation and relaunch of the Departmental Tables of Concertation

The Departmental Directorates of the Ministry of Planning, as relays of the central structures, ensure the coordination and the follow-up of the sectoral actions of development through a mechanism called "Departmental Tables of Concertation" which brings together all the Departmental Directors, the managers of NGOs and representatives of organized civil society.

The Ministry recalls that the Departmental Tables of Concertation, which are generally fed by the Communal, Thematic and Sectoral Tables, constitute important spaces for dialogue and intersectoral consultation and are called upon to strengthen the Departmental Technical Councils established in the Departmental Delegations within the framework of local governance and land use planning.

This is why the Ministry devoted the month of October 2020 to the relaunch of the Departmental Tables of Concertation already existing throughout the national territory and to the creation of those that do not yet exist, with the aim of offering services of quality and proximity to the Haitian population by supporting the sustainable development of Haiti.
