iciHaiti - WEATHER : Hurricane Isaac could hit southern Haiti 10/09/2018 10:32:33 If Florence (Cat 3, sustained wind 165 km / h) and Hélène (Cat 1, sustained wind 140 km / h) do not represent a danger for Haiti, Isaac a hurricane category 1, which moves in direction West at about 22 km / h, with sustained winds of 120 km / h, could reach the South of Haiti at the end of this week if its trajectory does not change. However, still located about 1,900 km east of the Lesser Antilles, uncertainty remains important regarding its trajectory and its intensity. Isaac is expected to gradually intensify and temporarily switch to category 2 before weakening during his visit to the West Indian arc around Wednesday. The Hydro-Meteorological Unit (UHM) closely monitors Isaac's evolution and trajectory in order to keep the population informed. The attention remains so, especially since the season will continue until November 30, 2018. IH/ iciHaiti
