Following the publication of a Communal Order against insalubrity last May https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24489-haiti-flash-ranking-of-the-shame-port-au-prince-the-dirtiest-city-in-the-world.html by Youri Chevry the Mayor of the city of Port-au-Prince, punishing individuals and companies disposing of their waste in an inappropriate way with fines ranging from 10,000 Gourdes (private) to 50,000 Gourdes (business) close to forty people have already been sanctioned, according to Allwitch Joly, spokesman of the City Council which emphasizes that in the violators thay are several executives of the State.
