Saturday, July 14, during the interpellation session of Prime Minister Lafontant which was to result in a vote of confidence or censorship was not, as the Prime Minister has used the tribune of the Chamber to announce that he had handed over his letter of resignation to President Jovenel Moïse who had accepted it. I regret to submit my resignation and that of the government I lead.

In adityion, the Deputy of Delmas Gary Bodeau, Speaker of the Lower House said, "I have decided to close the debate on the Prime Minister's resignation, which I consider to be sterile and unproductive for the future of the Nation. For truth and for history !"
