iciHaiti - DR : The international aid to welcome Haitians back home 02/06/2018 10:26:26
Through the project "Help for Children and Vulnerable Women at the Border", funded by Canada and implemented by IOM Haiti; 295 protection actors were trained on human rights, 2,070 Haitians were documented, 701 vulnerable migrants received support for the implementation of income-generating activities. Canada and the European Union have set up 4 Border Resource Centers (CRF) in Malpasse, Ouanaminthe, Anse-à-Pitres and Belladère to welcome migrants returning from the Dominican Republic (volunteers or deportees) and rehabilitated 6 Centers to support vulnerable migrants at the border, including women and girls, and to manage the risks associated with irregular migration and trafficking.
