Wednesday, Limond Toussaint, the Minister of Culture in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, launched the activities of the Fortnight of La Francophonie at the National Library of Haiti (BNH) symbolic high place for the preservation of Haitian literary heritage, which had organized for the occasion an exhibition of literary works where the major figures of Haitian literature were in the spotlight among others: Jacques Stephen Alexis, Marie Vieux Chauvet, Odette Roy Fombrun https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-22298-haiti-politics-message-of-wisdom-from-odette-fombrun-to-jovenel-moise.html , Marie Alice Théard.
"Haiti has given birth to brilliant French-speaking writers and artists, to millions of women and men using French as a means of expression and communication," said Minister Toussaint, saying that the French-speaking world is "an element major that united Haiti to the rest of the world. "
