iciHaiti - Cap-Haitien : The 2018 Carnival Committee changes its president

The Communication Service of the Town Hall of Cap-Haitien confirms that for reasons of availability, the former mayor of the city Michel Saint-Croix, is no longer President of the local committee responsible for the carnival 2018 in Cap Haitien.

After proposal of the Municipal Council it was agreed that it will be replaced by a young more available, but experienced in the field of the organization of cultural events: Ronel Marcellus who is the representative of the Departmental Office of the Ministry of Tourism fully aware of the challenges since the first evaluation meeting on the availability of Committee members.

The Departmental Directorate of the Ministry of Culture has validated this change and intends to develop with the Municipal Council communication strategies, marketing and promotion of Carnival 2018 in the North, including Cap-Haitien.

The final list of the members of the Organizing Committee of the Carnival of Cap Haitien will be published soon, including the budget, the detailed plan of the cultural activities of the Carnival, the courses for the Sundays pre-carnivalesques, the Carnival of the little ones, the Student Carnival Friday and the 3 Fat Days.
