iciHaiti - USA : Inauguration of a fire station on Carrefour
In the presence of Max Rudolph St-Albin, the Minister of the Interior, Inspector General Jean St-Fleur, Coordinator of Fire Services at the National Police of Haiti, Robin Diallo the charge d'affaires of the United States Embassy, communal and municipal authorities and 40 volunteer firefighters were inaugurated a fire station built by the American Embassy, whose keys were handed Thursday to the communal authorities of Carrefour.

Inspector General Jean St-Fleur, coordinator of fire services at the PNH and former firefighter for 30 years invited firefighters and especially the authorities to make good use of this fully equipped fire station, which also includes a water tank and an artesian well. Note that this new barracks is the 11th since 2010, that the United States built in Haiti.

Robin Diallo, the US Embassy's chargé d'affaires, pointed out that these achievements are part of a "system put in place by the United States to minimize the impact of natural disasters in Haiti".

Minister St-Albin, having promised to regularize the integration into the fire brigade of the West PNH, of 40 volunteer firefighters (including 8 women), announced that by June 2018, the PNH ire department will have "40 tank trucks and 50 ambulances."
