iciHaiti - Energy : Solar training for CEAC technicians

A specialist from the Solar Electric Ligth Fund (SELF), organized a training session for technicians and other staff of the Electric Cooperative of the Arrondissement of Coteaux (CEAC) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10599-haiti-economy-first-electric-cooperative-in-haiti.html
The objective was to enable the participants to be more proactive and effective in case of natural disasters in order to better manage solar panels https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-22258-haiti-technology-coteaux-hybrid-power-plant-soon-rehabilitated.html . This training of a few hours focused on the design and role of each component of the system, the way the connection is made, the operating mode of the system and its maintenance.
The staff also learned how to use plywood sheets to protect the solar panels and especially how to move them to shelter them without any damage. These activities were supported financially and technically by UN Environment / Haiti from a Government of Norway fund.
