Haiti - Education : Seminar on costs and financing of the MENFP Ten-Year Plan

Thursday at the Kinam Hotel, a Seminar was held on the synthesis of the work on the costs and financing of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training's (MENFP) 2017-2027 10-Year Plan with all the partners of sector and representatives of several technical branches of the ministry.

Bayard Lapommeray, the Director of the Studies and Programming Unit (PIU), which is responsible for steering this file, inscribes this meeting as part of the Ten-Year Plan to inform the technical team on possible funding strategies.

The Ambassador of the European Union in Haiti, Vincent Degert, who accompanies the Ministry in this process, welcomed the organization of this seminar, which, according to him, will make progress in concerns about the current allocation of resources in the sector.

For his part Délima Pierre, the Director General of the National Office for Education Partnership (ONAPE), spoke on behalf of Minister Cadet to launch the seminar and stress the importance of this meeting for the Ministry to prepare the next steps in the development of the 10-Year Plan and the choices to be made for the financing strategies of this Plan. Recalling that the Ministry has the support of all the actors for the reform of the sector, the finalization of the Plan and its implementation.
