iciHaiti - Training : Closing of the vocational training and placement project in Cité Soleil
his Thursday, April 27, at the Pilot Center for Vocational Training (CPFP), the International Labor Office (ILO) in Haiti will proceed at the closing ceremony of the project "Improving the offer of qualifying vocational training and placement in Cité Soleil".

Financed by the Minustah to the tune of $ 400,000. This project in 3 Phases: 1) Development and construction of infrastructure and purchase of equipment at the Pilot Center for Vocational Training (CPFP); 2) Technical training and support for the INFP and Entrepreneurship, orientation and 3) placement of graduates, aimed at giving an alternative to the many young people of Cité Soleil between the ages of 15 and 24 who have never held a productive job or benefited from a training.

Through this project, the ILO intends to contribute to the professional emancipation of young people in Cité Soleil, a task that the Pilot Center for Vocational Training (CPFP) has already been working on for some forty years, which has already trained several thousand technicians of the zone. This project has strengthened the vocational training offer of the CPFP through an adapted and integrated approach for vulnerable young people and also strengthened the institutional capacity of the National Training Institute (INFP) to support the Haitian Government's actions in the framework for reducing community violence.
