The well-known Haitian-American actor Jimmy Jean Louis, who interpreted in particular the starring role of Toussaint Louverture in the film of the same name, is currently making a documentary with the American actor Rain Wilson on the thousands of Haitian migrants blocked at the US border in Tijuana (Baja California).
Jimmy Jean-Louis, also Goodwill Ambassador for Haiti, said the documentary aims to highlight the situation of Haitian migrants living in pitiable conditions and complaining that they have been abandoned by the Haitian government. After several months of traveling through several countries, the jungle and many dangers, despite the decision of Obama maintained by Donald Trump, they still hope to be able to enter one day on the territory of the United States.
