Haiti - Agriculture : The Lamothe Foundation respects its promises
Following the mission carried out last November at Anse du Clerc in the communal section of Abricots (Grand'Anse), hard hit by Hurricane Matthew https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-19077-icihaiti-cholera-laurent-lamothe-in-the-department-of-grand-anse.html the Dr. Louis G. Lamothe Foundation (FLGL) has kept its promises to support the winter campaign at Anse du Clerc, by distributing seeds including among others more than 50,000 cuttings of "Ti Savyen" potatoes, calalou and spinach seeds and agricultural tools to more than 200 farmers in order to prevent a food insecurity crisis by the first quarter of 2017.

The planters, coming from various large habitations of the first section whose Bois Neuf, Mont Ogé, Ramon, Lamothe, Fyefye and of du bourg of Anse du Clerc, expressed their joy at this gesture of solidarity of the FLGL in a context of scarcity and precariousness.

This distribution took place in the presence of the Deputy Mayor Séraphin Brunache, the parish priest, the Reverend Father Joachim Samedi and other members of the Committee in an atmosphere of solidarity and respect.

The Louis G. Lamothe Foundation, which continues to work on the recovery plan for the Anse du Clerc communal section, has pledged to remain attentive to planters as part of its intervention post-Matthew in this zone.
