Haiti - Elections : Nearly 5,000 national and international observers
For the elections on Sunday 20 November, there are 4,246 national observers and almost 600 internationals who have been accredited, informed this week Léopold Berlanger, President of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), specifying that other requests are being processed and that these figures are provisional.

The majority of national observers come from the consortium formed by: RNDDH, SOFA, CARDH, CONHANE and POHD and OCID, which brings together the ISC, Jurimedias, CEDH. "Our consortium will deploy across the country more than 3,000 election observers all over the country," indicated Pierre Espérance. The Citizen Observatory for the Institutionalization of Democracy (OCID) intends to deploy alone 50% of the observers of this consortium.

The OAS has for its part an electoral observation mission composed of 130 observers (out of the 600 accredited international observers) led by the Uruguayan ambassador Juan Raùl Pereira.
