Following the statements earlier this week by Senator Jean Renel Sénatus, alias "Zokiki" presenting himself as the defender of morality and by launching a war against television program, that would make according to him the promotion of homosexuality https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-18018-haiti-politic-zokiki-declares-war-against-homosexuality.html Jean Marie Altema, General Director of the National Telecommunications Council (CONATEL) call to order all operators of broadcasting stations of the country.

"The Executive Body of the National Council of Telecommunications CONATEL noted a resurgence of audiovisual content able to disturb the normal and harmonious development of youth, against the provisions of Article 52 of the Decree of 12 October 1977 granting the Haitian state the monopoly of telecommunications services, as well as that of Regulation #OE-CNT-DEC20130002 of July 24th, 2013 sanctioning the broadcast in clear of violent and pornographic programs.

Also, the General Directorate of the Executive organ of CONATEL, do injunction to all operators of broadcasting stations of the country, to ensure compliance of their programs and shows to the principle of respect for minors and morals established by the laws of the Republic andregulations of the sector. Otherwise, the sanctions will be applied against offenders."
