Increase the number of women in PNH
President Martelly believes in the commitment of his Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, and also in his administration, to enforce the quota of 30% women in all functions of public administration and in particular within the Administration of the National Police of Haiti. Also to this end, he demanded Monday the organization of competitions for recruitment, specifically for women, to increase the number of female police officers in Haiti.

Thanksgiving Consulates closed

3rd Ghetto Biennale in Port-au-Prince
The 3rd Ghetto Biennale entitled "Decentering the Market and Other Tales of Progress" will be held in Port-au-Prince from this Tuesday, November 26 until December 16, 2013. The event was created in 2009 by Atis Rezistans, a group of sculptors from Grand Rue in Haiti, which sought to answer the question: "What will happen when Western art is confronted with the art of the Third World ? It bleeds ?".
In a globalized world of art, the Ghetto Biennale was created to expose the social immobility, racial, of class and geographical. Co-organized by Andre Eugene, David Frohnapfel, Leah Gordon and Céleur Jean Herard, the event invites artists to settle for one to three weeks in Haiti to present their work to the public.
