Pharaonic work in Ouanaminthe
Phase I of the Protection Project of the city of Ouanaminthe has just been completed. For the first time since 1953, the city was not flooded although the Massacre River entered in flood 9 times this year. To do this, the Ministry of Environment has undertaken a colossal work consisting in the construction of a gabion structure of 4 meters wide and 4 meters high on a length of 300 meters and has rebuilt the bank on an average width of 15 meters and a height of 4 meters. Phase II, hat will protect the second largest plain of rice of country (Plaine de Maribaroux in North East), will begin within 15 days.

Financial priorities for 2013-2014
An important working meeting was held recently at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, in the presence of several members of the government about the reorientation of public investment for the period 2013-2014. This meeting was an opportunity for each of these institutions, to list their priority projects and their financing needs.
