Military reinforcement at the border
On Tuesday, the Dominican Admiral Sigfrido Pared, Defence Minister said that the Dominican Republic has increased its military presence on its border with Haiti, because of the violence in Haiti "Our goal is to ensure border security," explained the Minister.

The Minister of Tourism in Boston

145,000 people in camps in late 2013, early 2014...
Taking into account the current support activities (ongoing projects and closing) to the return of families in the camps estimated completed at the end of the year, it is projected that more than 145,000 people could remain in the camps at the end of 2013 and early 2014. This projection takes into account the latest population data of the DTM (September 2013), of ongoing projects to close camps by partners and trends of family relocation.
