Strike ends at UEH

On Monday, the Cell of Reflection for the New State University of Haiti (UEH/UNRC) announced the end of the strike began on October 15 by thirty teachers of the UEH. CRNU officials said that the application of the Decree of 18 April 2013, concerning the implementation of the salary scale would be implemented shortly

President Martelly visited Carrefour

On Sunday, the President Michel Martelly, went to Carrefour, on the occasion of the Saint Charles. Despite the rain, the Head of State was warmly welcomed and walked in the middle of a large crowd, several kilometers from the Sports Centre until the Official Stand. Some members of the populationtook the opportunity to present to the President the main grievances of the inhabitants of the municipality. During the festive evening, 10 young people who completed their classical studies received scholarships for Professional Studies. The President reiterated the determination of his administration to address the problems related to the vital sectors of society and invited the population to remain calm and to the serenity, to maintain a stable environment conducive to sustainable development.

Application of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures

On 5 and 6 November, the Department of Quality Control and Consumer Protection of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, organizes in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and the World Trade Organization (WTO), a national workshop on the WTO Agreement on the Application of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures. This workshop aims to strengthen the capacity of mechanisms to facilitate trade and international exchanges by involving all sectors concerned in the implementation, application and management of these measures.

The Ministry of Communication deplores and condemns the murder of Ghislaine Dupont and Claude Verlon, two special envoys of RFI in Mali and presents its condolences to the entire corporation.
