Finalization of the electoral law this weekend
The Senate commission responsible for studying the draft electoral law reported significant progress in the adoption of articles of the document, the Commissioners are expected to finalize the technical work this weekend. According to Senator Jean Baptiste Bien-Aimé, a member of the Commission, the text submitted by the deputies will be modified so that the electoral law is consistent with the Constitution. Friday, Ambassador of the United States in Haiti, Pamela White, held at his residence in Bourdon, a welcome reception in honor of Ms. Sandra Honoré, Head of MINUSTAH in Haiti. A reception reserved exclusively to the female gender, where thirty most powerful women in Haiti were invited as well as political leaders, including Maryse Narcisse of Fanmi Lavalas and Myrlande Manigat of RDNP.
