Cooperation agreement with IICA

Tuesday occurred the signing of a framework cooperation agreement with the American Institute for Agriculture (IICA) on the theme of Agritourism in the development of themed routes (road of water, road of cocoa, etc..) in the central plateau and the Grande-Anse. Meanwhile, at the invitation of IICA, the Ministry of Tourism is preparing to participate in the Caribbean Week of Agriculture, to be held in Guyana from 4 to October 12.

IDB support to the process of port reform

On Tuesday, a working meeting was held around budget support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in the process of port reform. This meeting was held in the premises of the National Port Authority, between the Director General, Engineer Alix Célestin the Consultant IDB Tham Truong and independent legal consultant, Alix Richard.

Strengthening of the struggle for gender equality

On Thursday, the Ministry of Women and Women's Rights (MCFDF) announces that in the context of strengthening the struggle for equality, it will proceed to the official launch of the Thematic Table Type (TTG), organized in partnership with UN-Women and the European Union. MCFDF stresses that the main objectives of this activity are to provide for all sectors, a better knowledge and understanding of the activities of the TTG as a consultation mechanism for greater consideration of the needs and strategic interests of women and men, analyze and identify new partners eventually for a better coordination and harmonization of actions within the framework of the problem of Gender, to ensure a productive discussion between partners and stakeholders.

Cooperation Agreement with South Korea

Wednesday morning, the Haitian Government and Korean proceeded to the signing of a framework cooperation agreement and a framework arrangement of subsidy for the year 2013 on the reduction of poverty and the promotion of economic and social development of Haiti. Both bilateral engagements were signed by Pierre-Richard Casimir, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea in Haiti, Mr. Park Dong-sil.

Training for Chefs Haitians to Mexican cuisine

As a prelude to a gourmet Mexican exhibition, to be held September 13 in Port-au-Prince, 6 Haitians chefs from hotels and restaurants of the metropolitan area, receive training of 2 to 4 September given by two major Mexican Chefs José and Pedro. The Cochinita Pibil, Arroz, Pollo Con Mole, Enchiladas Suizas, Frijoles Charros, Sopa Azteca et Pozole Estilo Guerrero, are some of the dishes that Haitian chefs will learn to cook. In return, the Mexican Chefs learn to prepare Haitian specialties.
