This week, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism held a working session with officials of the Ministry and of the National Police of Haiti, involved in the establishment of the Politour,

Superior Council of the PNH.

34 soldats canadiens sont arrivées en Haïti
Friday, a platoon of 34 soldiers of the Canadian Armed Forces from the 5th Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group of Valcartier (Quebec), arrived in Haiti to integrate [until December 2013] the operations of maintaining security and stability, of a Brazilian battalion. With the sending of this platoon, Canada currently has deployed in Haiti, 5 officers of Staff, within the framework of the Hamlet operation and about 90 police officers (UNPOL).

Distribution of rescue equipment
This week, the head of the Maritime and Navigation Service of Haiti (SEMANAH) proceeded to a distribution of lifejackets and distress lights, to the associations and boat owners in the Island of La Gonâve.

Fishing boat drifting
On Friday, the Coast Guard launched a search to locate 9 fishermen on board the boat "Aisha", originating Turks and Caicos Islands, failed and drifting in the waters off Labadie (Northern Haiti). A helicopter crew deployed to the Bahamas, joined the Coast Guard in the research of fishermen.
