UNNOH calls for day of mobilization
Josué Mérilien, the General Coordinator of the National Union of Haitian Normale (UNNOH) announced a day of protest on May 14. The list of claims of UNNOH is long, the Union requires the payment of wage arrears, a base salary of 10,000 gourdes for teachers, and the appointment of qualified teachers in public schools, the construction of public schools, the provision of 34% of the national budget to education etc...

Peaceful coexistence at the Haitian-Dominican border
