The Protector of Citizens in Saint Martin

Florence Élie, the Protector of Citizens in Haiti, attends the Seventh Conference of the Association of Caribbean Ombudsmen (CAROA), held in Saint Martin (French Antille), from 5 to 9 May 2013. This conference is being held under the theme: "The role of the Ombudsman Towards an exemplary conduct of Public Service in difficult times" This Tuesday, Florence Élie participate in a panel on the issue of human rights and will make a presentation on "The role of the Ombudsman in the protection of vulnerable groups."

U.S. $10 million for the construction of the campus of Damien

According to the statements of the President of the State University of Haiti (UEH), Jean Henri Vernet, the government has allocated the sum of 10 million U.S. dollars for the construction of campus of Damien (north of Port-au-Prince ) stating that for the realization of campus, the UEH needs $96 million.
