UNICEF will build five new permanent schools
UNICEF signed this week contracts with the construction companies that are going to build 5 new permanent schools in the South Department. Until the end of this year, UNICEF will construct a total of 15 new schools in isolated areas of Haiti.

50 school buses for Haiti
Today Friday, was signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Haiti and South Korea through the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) for the supply of fifty buses in order to strengthen the program of free school transport.

Thursday, Bernice Fidélia, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), went to the Forum "Haiti Economy 2013" organized by the Group of Reflection and Action for a New Haiti (GRAHN) at Karibe Convention Center. Through this visit, the Minister Fidelia heard renew the Ministry commitment to support all initiatives of the Diaspora.

29th International Film Festival Vues d'Afrique
The closing ceremony and awards ceremony of the 29th International Film Festival Vues d'Afrique will be held Saturday, May 4, in Montreal from 8 p.m. at Cinema Excentris in the presence of Mr. Justin Viard, Consul General of Haiti in Montreal with the presentation of the short film "MacPherson" of Martine Chartrand and of film "Herby, jazz and Haitian music" of Arnold Antonin.
