Haiti - News : Some news here and there... 16/04/2013 15:25:59 The office of Senator Moïse Jean-Charles, announces that the Senator will stay from April 13 to 29 in Latin America at the official invitation of Brazilian parliamentarians then to the United States. During his visit, the Senator, will intervene on the social, political and economic situation of Haiti and the consequences of the presence of the Minustah in the country. He will take advantage to prepare for the arrival in June 2013, of a delegation of Latin American countries in Haiti as part of the second Continental Day, in order to request the withdrawal of UN troops. Words of sympathy to the people and the American Government On behalfof the Government of the Republic, the Ministry of Communication expresses its deep sorrow following the attack of Monday, April 15, 2013, at the Boston Marathon, which killed three people and caused one hundred injured. Senate President congratulates Nicolas Maduro The Senator Dieuseul Desras Simon, President of the Upper House, welcomes the election of Nicolas Maduro as the new President of Venezuela, inviting the government to follow the example of Venezuelan leaders, who showed respect for their people, by replacing in the space of one month the President Chavez. Two new exhibitions at MUPANAH To mark its 30th anniversary, as well as the entry of Toussaint Louverture in the Pantheon, the Museum of National Pantheon of Haiti (MUPANAH) proposes two new exhibitions: "Toussaint Louverture and the Haitian National Pantheon" and "Saint Soleil 40 years after".
