Modernization of the administrative apparatus of the State
Pending their publication in the official journal Le Moniteur, the General Coordination Office of Human Resources Management (OMRH) informs that the decree on how to access the Public Service focusing on competitive recruitment and that relating to the Code of Conduct for Civil Servants were adopted by the Council of Ministers. This decision confirms the Government's commitment to modernize the administrative apparatus of the state and to renovate the public service, in the primary concern to improve the quality of services provided to the population.

Transition from Analog to Digital Television
The National Council of Telecommunications (CONATEL) launches from the month of April, a large Survey on the Transition from Analog Television to Digital Television covering all households throughout the country. Pending the start of the investigation, under the supervision of the Directorate Prospective and Economic Studies, technicians in charge organized a 3-days training seminar for investigators to be eployed across the ten departments.

Wednesday, the Embassy of Haiti in Panama had a meeting yesterday between representatives of Panama and "Zhenjiang Construction Group" of China regarding investment in Haiti.

Gérald Oriol salute the Government's policy
Tuesday, during a courtesy visit to the Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (SEIPH), Gérald Oriol, Jr., Secretary of State of the Ministry of Social Affairs, praised the national policy implemented by the Administration Martelly-Lamothe aimed at improving the living conditions of persons with special needs. A communication circuit was created and a focal point between the MAST and the SEIPH was designated. Disability issues was thus addressed as a cross-cutting issue.
