At MHAVE, discussion about the Haitian-Dominican relations
On Friday, a meeting was held between Mrs Bernice Fidélia, Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) and two officials of the Joint Bilateral Commission (CMB), of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the possibility for the two ministries to work in partnership on issues related to the relationship Haitian-Dominican and migration problems.

The TPI of Miragoâne soiled
On the night of 6 to 7 April 2013, the premises of the Court of First Instance (TPI) of Miragoâne have been soiled for the second time, by unidentified individuals who spread feces and garbage in the enclosure, in front and around the prosecution.

Construction of an Ecological Park
A reforestation plan started in a part of the zone north of the border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic, first stage of the construction of an ecological park in this area. This work, on the the banks of the River Massacre (Dajabón Province), aims to promote the environmental culture among Dominicans and Haitians and the importance of preserving the environment. Mahogany, kapok trees and cedars are among the list of several species that will be planted on the site, where will also be extended the current pilot project of bamboo plantation.

Installation of the new DG of the SONAPI
This Monday, Wilson Laleau, Minister of Commerce and Industry, will proceed with the installation of Bernard Schettini, the new Director General of the National Society of Industrial Parks (SONAPI), which will succeed Georges Sassine.
