Classification of tourist facilities

The Ministry of Tourism will launch in the coming days, the program of classification of tourist facilities with the label "Quality Hibiscus". To this end, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism held on Tuesday, a planning meeting with some officials of the Ministry involved in the implementation of this program.

Inauguration of the new HQ of the PNH

Ambassador of Canada in Port-au-Prince, Henry Paul Normandin and Godson Orelus, the Chief of Police, inaugurated the new headquarters of the National Police of Haiti, funded by the Canadian government to the tune of 6.8 million Canadian dollars. In addition to building the Canadian government and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) gave the police various equipment and vehicles.

Literacy, installation of 3 new directors

Tuesday, a few months before the launch of the national campaign which should allow to 600,000 Haitians to have access to literacy classes between March and September 2013, Oswald Thimoléon, the Secretary of State for Literacy proceeded with the installation of three new directors : Hugues Mercier, Specialized technical director, Linz Lucien, Director of departmental coordination and Moseley Fièvre, Administrative and Financial Director.

The Ministry of Tourism at Sea Trade Show of Miami Beach

The Ministry of Tourism participates at Sea Trade Show of Miami Beach. Represented by Mrs. Maryse Noel, Director General of the Ministry, who, share the space with Didier Fils-Aime, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Haiti, presented the Tourism Project San Aquino.

More than 2 million euros for sanitation in Jacmel

On Friday, the European Union, in partnership with the organization "Save the Children", the National Directorate of Water Supply and Sanitation (DINEPA) and the CRESFED, will proceed to the launch of the new sanitation program and of hygiene promotion in the town y of Jacmel. Designed to improve the urban environment of the people of this municipality, this program is funded by the European Union to the tune of 2 millions 273,000 euros.

Lamothe and Villedrouin in Aruba

This Thursday, the Prime Minister of Haiti, Laurent Salvador Lamothe and the Minister of Tourism, Stephanie Balmir Villedrouin, have left the country in the direction of Oranjestad, Aruba, at heir arrival they were welcomed by the Governor of Aruba. The PM met with the President of the Parliament of Aruba, Paul Croes.
