President Martelly eat in the mobile canteen

Tuesday, representatives of the Haitian community in Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), gathered in the Salle Sonis, at Abymes, to celebrate the 209th anniversary of independence. At the program, the presentation of wishes of the Consul General of Haiti, Louis Lafontant, performances and a panel discussion on the meaning of the Haitian Revolution, led by sociologist Louis-Auguste Joint. The meeting was marked by the tasting of the traditional "'Soup joumou" (pumpkin soup).

7th edition of the Jazz Festival of Port-au-Prince
13 countries and 24 bands will take part this year in the 7th edition of the Jazz Festival of Port-au-Prince, January 19 to 26, 2013. Germany, Belgium, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, Chile, Spain, the United States of America, France, Mexico, the Netherlands, Switzerland and of course the host country will be represented in during this edition International of azz Festival of Port-au-Prince. On January 18, the eve of the opening of Festival, Jacmel will host the concert of Timo Vollbrecht (Germany), Hugues Leroy (Haiti) and Brantford Marsalis (USA).
