3 million dollars from USAID for the disabled
Tuesday, October 30, the Office of the Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities (BSEIPH), in collaboration with the Organization of American States (OAS) has launched the project "HOPE" (Help Opportunity for People Everywhere). This project, lasting 3 years, financed up to U.S. $3 million by the U.S. Agency for International Development, oncerns the departments of the West, South, North and North-East, which could subsequently extend to the whole country, as the mission to help people with disabilities to rehabilitate on the physical level and integrate into society.

Doctoral School in UEH
State University of Haiti (UEH), announces the forthcoming inauguration of a graduate school in the field of human and social sciences (SHS). Several entities are partners in this project, including U.S. universities, Belgian, Canadian, French and Mexican, in terms of human resources.

TPI of Cap Haitien, increases its capacity
The Court of First Instance (TPI) of Cap-Haitien, now has several new offices equipped for judges and the Legal Assistance Office to the people "These new facilities will allow us to provide a better framework for judicial authorities," explained Me Alix Lucien, Dean of TPI. Construction on the first floor of the new office was funded by the Minustah, through its Quick Impact Projects (QIPS), to the tune of 66,000 U.S. dollars.

Symposium on extreme poverty
From 6 to 9 November 2012 will be held a symposium on extreme poverty around the theme "Think about it and fight against extreme poverty in Haiti," and will aim to define a voluntary program to fight against hunger.
